Here is our favourite recipe:

2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
6 tablespoons of olive oil
1 shallot, thinly chopped
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
¼ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
