Determined to bring traditional artisan skills to the Australian market with the primary objective of alleviating poverty in small Indian communities, mother and daughter duo Caroline and Daisy Poiner were inspired to start the Australian luxury brand Cloth & Co. in 2010 after several trips to India.

Sourcing over 70% of their products from women’s cooperatives, fair trade businesses and self-help groups across India and Nepal, the brand works hard to empower the women they work with. Based in Sydney and New Delhi, the small team spend a lot of time with each artisan community that makes their products and work to support each business in a way that will have a lasting impact.
