Untouched World
Untouched World are the first and only lifestyle fashion company in the world to be recognised by the United Nations for sustainability—using sustainably grown fibres and GOTS certified organic dyes.
Untouched World are proudly 92% New Zealand made, with the majority of the garments made in their Christchurch workrooms. This not only supports the local community, but reduces their carbon footprint on transport emissions. The 8% of garments that are sourced offshore are made with the same care and attention to detail that Untouched World pride themselves on. They ensure that anything with their name on it is made ethically and sustainably by partners who share the same values they do.
They don't like to waste a thing and Untouched World's design team are masters at minimising waste. When they do end up with small bits of waste, they make sure they're put to good use. Offcuts from the wool and possum garments are sent to Terra Lana to be recycled into home insulation, and any fine merino fabric left over is turned into teeny beanies for babies in neonatal.
